Throughout history, black identity has often been reduced to a stereotype. This masks the many intricate layers that make every black individual unique and extraordinary.
Stereotypes can be limiting. They can create barriers that underpin oppression. They can influence what you see, and how you choose to understand.
Here at ellesse we teamed up with Daniel Peters, the Founder of @fashionminorityreport, to create a series of films for Black History Month U.K.
The first of our films features @ejatushaw, a photographer who is using her craft to reclaim her identities.
